IAmYourUser reads two Google sources of yours, in read-only mode, to turn your visitors into characters. Here is exactly what happens to that data.

What we read

• Google Analytics 4 (scope analytics.readonly): aggregate reports only — landing pages, device, channel, country, language, events, returning sessions. Never a single person's data, never anything that identifies a visitor.
• Search Console (scope webmasters.readonly): the searches your site appears for, with impressions, clicks and average position.
• Your public pages: we read them the way any visitor would, plus a speed measurement from Google PageSpeed Insights.

We ask for nothing else. We cannot modify anything in your Google account: both scopes are read-only, and there is nothing to install on your site.

What we keep, and where

• Your email address from Google (it is how we recognise you) and the access tokens, encrypted.
• The aggregate data read from the sources above, the analyses derived from them, and the stories written from those analyses.
• Everything lives on a server in the European Union, at our hosting provider. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with third parties for their own purposes.

The one thing that leaves

To write a story we send the analysis — the structured facts, not your raw data and not your credentials — to a language model, which turns it into a first-person text. That text comes back, is checked against the facts, and is stored with your site.

How long

As long as the site is in your account. Removing a site from your list erases its data, analyses, characters and stories. Disconnecting your Google account revokes our access immediately, from your Google permissions page, without asking us.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or erase everything we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to us and we do it.
